"I was real lucky, I could have died"

A Mercedes-Benz went out of control on a walkway filled with shoppers at Block 102 in Chong Pang estate, at about 8.15am yesterday.

Five people were injured in the incident. The reversing car had mounted a kerb and left a 20m trail of destruction.

A news vendor, Mr Ng Yew Hock (below), 68, who was hit by the car but suffered just abrasions, told others that he was "real lucky" not to have been killed.
