Amputee sneaks 60 friends and family into zoo show as he proposes

IT WAS their first trip to the Singapore Zoo together.

And it will be a trip that Mr Lieu Teck Hua and Ms Liew Xin Ting remember for a long time.

After all, Mr Lieu - an amputee who was featured in The New Paper last week after he was named in Her World magazine's list of "50 Men We Love" for his optimism - proposed to his girlfriend of eight years during the zoo's Splash Safari show.

However, it wasn't a one-man-show that saw the couple marry that same afternoon - Mr Lieu had roped in 60 friends and family to execute the plan that had been in the works for the last six months.
