Irish teen steals the show on X Factor

X FACTOR may have only just kicked off a new season in the UK, but already, a 16-year-old lass from Ireland has been tipped to win the talent competition.

Shy Janet Devlin wowed the crowd and judges when she performed Elton John's "Your Song" during the auditions on Saturday - even getting celebrity fans like pop star Lily Allen and footballers Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand lavishing praise on her on Twitter.

Janet's meteoric rise to fame has even seen Ireland's largest bookmaker make her the favourite to win, even though it is still early on in the season.
