It’s quieter after heady GE days

At the height of the General Election campaigning last year, Singapore Democratic Party’s Vincent Wijeysingha had middle-aged women asking to take photos with him.

Various Singaporeans would e-mail him or call the SDP office to talk to him.

The 42-year-old conceded that he has become “more recognisable” since the GE.

The frenzy has died down somewhat and these days, the former executive director of local NGO Transient Workers Count Too holds down a lower-profile job as a university lecturer.
