JB shops say business has dropped due to new biometric system

Exempt Singaporeans entering Malaysia from the biometric system used at immigration checkpoints.

That was the plea by Johor Bahru businessmen who have seen business drop by nearly 50 per cent, especially in restaurants and entertainment outlets patronised by Singaporeans.

The biometric system was introduced on June 1.
