Joe Augustin in hospital after heart attack scare

Veteran radio personality Joe Augustin drove himself to the National University Hospital on Monday (May 28) after having chest pains and numbness in one arm.

Both are signs of a possible heart attack and they prompted the 43-year-old Lush 99.5FM DJ to seek help.

He was put through a battery of tests, and his wife Adele Augustin told The New Paper that his initial ECG was clear. An ECG or electrocardiogram is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart.

Augustin was kept under observation in hospital for 24 hours.
