Johor car gang nabbed

THEY were called Geng Panjang and their speciality was stealing cars.

The gang, comprising four men and a woman, was busted early Wednesday morning by Johor police.

Nine cars with a total value of RM650,000 (S$264,000) were recovered from the gang members, who were aged between 23 and 37, said South JB police chief Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Yaacob.

The cars were of models like Honda Stream, BMW 320I, Toyota Wish, Kia Carens and Mitsubishi Colt. Five of the cars were Singapore-registered.
