Pulau Semakau, an offshore landfill to the south of Singapore, is home to a fish farm, mangroves, and a variety of marine life.

Yesterday morning, 40 people had the chance to experience this biodiversity through a tour of the island.

Organised by the National Environment Agency and National Geographic Channel, the Nature Journeys Trail featured marine ecologist and National Geographic Explorer Zeb Hogan.

Trail participants got to see a range of marine life, including large carnivorous snails, sea stars, hairy crabs and a fluted giant clam.
