THE woman linked to the alleged sex-for-grades case, Miss Darinne Ko Wen Hui, 23, was arrested in April, The New Paper has learnt.
This was about the same time that the man she was alleged to have slept with, National University of Singapore law professor Tey Tsun Hang, 41, was picked up by the authorities.
Tey was charged on July 27 with inappropriately obtaining gifts and sex from Miss Ko in exchange for favouring her in his assessment of her academic performance. This allegedly took place in 2010, when she was his student.
Miss Ko’s counsel, criminal lawyer Subhas Anandan, said she is out on police bail to ensure she does not leave the country.
