A Malaysian man was killed in a gangland-style shooting in Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Wednesday where his assailants fired at him from a moving car as he was driving through a tunnel.

The business man, identified as Mr Wong Tee Tee, was gunned down as he was driving along the Poreporena freeway leading up to Burns Peak in in Port Moresby, PNG's capital, according to PNG media.

Yesterday, a picture of Mr Wong appeared in a notice in The Straits Times Classifieds section with the headline "Urgently seeking the son and daughter of Mr Wong Tee Tee".

The New Paper understands that Mr Wong's daughter works in Singapore. That was why the notice seeking his next of kin was placed here.
