Man allegedly throws mahjong table down nine storeys

What was supposed to be a happy family reunion ended with a 39-year-old man allegedly throwing a mahjong table from the ninth storey of a HDB block in Ang Mo Kio.

The man, who lives in the three-room flat with his elderly parents, was chatting with his relatives in the living room, when he got into an argument with a cousin and then his sister at about 11pm on Aug 31.

The sister left to avoid a confrontation but found out from a relative later that her brother flew into a rage and allegedly threw the table down the block.
