Man jailed for molesting policewoman

He was young, good-looking and would have no trouble getting women if he wanted to, so why would he want to molest an on-duty uniformed female police officer?

Part-time waiter Ilham Tumpang, 25, said this in the Subordinate Courts yesterday while standing trial for molest.

But this move failed and he was found guilty and jailed for nine months.

He had touched the female sergeant's buttocks on Jan 1 last year at Orchard Road.
