Man punches, kicks 'pregnant' tourist

The CCTV footage shows a woman leaning at a table at a foodcourt. A man seated at the table then suddenly lashes out at her face with his hand.

He then stands up and swings a punch at her. As she falls to the floor, he stands over her, then raises his foot and stamps it down.

As she tries to get up, he pushes her with his foot, sending her tumbling about a metre into a chair.

The incident happened on Saturday morning at a foodcourt in Peace Centre at Sophia Road.

The victim, a Chinese tourist who gave her name as Miss Xiao Xia, 20, told Lianhe Wanbao that it was all because she had accidentally splattered some soup on the man, who was among three strangers sharing the table with her group of friends.

She also claimed she is two months pregnant.

Whatever happened, the man should not hurt the lady especially a pregnant tourist visiting Singapore. Singapore's hardearned good reputation almost perished by this hooligan's violet act. The Singapore government should come down hard and put this attacker away in jail for as long as possible the law allows. We feel shameful as Singaporeans watching this video, REALLY SHOCKING!

WTF, moron bully arse of a man!

Singaporean or FT, you don't hit someone that is already down!

Especially not when the victim is a lady and PREGNANT!

The police MUST act on this attach, whether the lady was at fault or otherwise.
