Man on trial for three murders: 'I couldn't cool down'

He is accused of killing two women and a teenager. But when Chinese national Wang Zhijian, 45, took the witness stand yesterday, he claimed that he had no control over his actions at that time.

He was living with alleged victim, Madam Zhang Meng, 42, in a sixth-storey flat in Block 349, Yishun Street 11.

The attack allegedly happened there.

Wang said in court that after Madam Zhang criticised and belittled him, he went to the kitchen for fresh air.

He was so angry, he saw only red, said Wang.
