Wet markets are a quintessential part of Singaporean life.
So when the wet market in Hougang Avenue 3 was torn down five years ago, it naturally upset residents.
The lack of a wet market was an issue in the May 2011 General Election and it looks set to continue to be a major issue in the Hougang by-election due on May 26.
It was re-visited by PAP’s Desmond Choo earlier this week which swiftly led to responses from WP’s Low Thia Khiang and Mr Png Eng Huat.
