HE had read the news about medical student Kouk Leong Jin, the Singaporean who remains missing in Athens.

So student Will Lim, 23, panicked when his friend, Mr Lee Ying Cong, also 23, could not be contacted for three days and even missed an important exam. Both of them are on a National University of Singapore (NUS) student exchange programme in Uppsala University in Sweden.

Mr Lim and other Singaporeans called, SMSed, WhatsApped and Facebooked Mr Lee to no avail. They even set up a Facebook page to find Mr Lee.

Mr Lim's worry turned to relief when Mr Lee was finally found – in his room. Mr Lee, who was feeling stressed-out, had decided to cut out all contact with his friends.
