Monkeys in Yishun scale new heights

Monkeys have been sighted in Yishun.

One resident complained that a monkey had entered his flat on Friday.

On Monday, a monkey was spotted climbing up a block of flats, peering into kitchens and sticking its head through window grilles as it made its way to the fifth storey.

A Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council spokesman said it has enlisted the help of the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority to place a cage trap at the block.

The spokesman also said residents are advised not to feed the monkeys as this may encourage them to stay or agitate them.
