MRT inquiry: Bridging bus services could fill 'gap'

WHEN the MRT train services failed on Dec 15 last year, bus bridging services provided by SMRT were supposed to fill the gap in service.

But the SMRT Committee of Inquiry on Friday (April 27) heard from SMRT staff that the bridging services that night were erratic.

The bus bridging services were activated at around 8pm, an hour after the disruptions began, and at one station, the buses arrived only at 9pm.
