Murder at Toa Payoh

A crowd gathered around a man lying motionless on a blood-stained floor at the lift lobby of Block 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1 on Wednesday night.

Paramedics arrived to rush the victim - a 47-year-old Chinese man - to Tan Tock Seng hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Police arrested a 50-year-old Singaporean Indian man in connection with this case.

The New Paper understands that both men knew each and were drinking at a nearby coffee shop in the evening before the incident.

The case has been classified as murder.
