For six months, a team of nine students from Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design kept mum about volunteering their time and skills for a large-scale project – designing the bag for this year’s National Day Parade Funpack.

The students finally heaved a sigh of relief when the funpack’s design and contents of 27 items were officially revealed at a media event at The Float@Marina Bay yesterday.

Said Jarron Isaac Tham, 18, the team leader: “We couldn’t tell our school friends what we were doing or we would ruin the surprise of the funpack. We even had to make the prototype in secret.”
