Looking to buy a new or imported used car?

From July 1, it will be easier for you to decide if the vehicle you choose is fuel-efficient and produces lower carbon emission, as motor dealers here will be required to affix a label – New Fuel Economy Label – on the cars and light goods vehicles displayed in their showrooms.

Your choice will also determine if you can get a rebate or surcharge depending on which band the car is in.

It would make better sense and also facilitates fuel efficiency comparisons by indicating the milage per litre than the number of litres per 100 kilometer.

So, instead of stating how many litres per 100km (esp. 5.8 ltr per 100 km), states how many kilometres per litre (esp. 1 litr per 17.24km)

i.e. go for the litre against kilometre.
