The National Parks Board (NParks) has bought 26 Brompton bicycles, for $2,200 each, for its officers to use on patrols.

But some Singaporeans are asking if the chosen bikes are too expensive, while others are unhappy at the tender process for the bikes.

NParks has defended its decision, saying the bikes were bought to boost staff productivity and that it adhered to government procurement requirements.

Bicycle shop owners say there are cheaper alternatives that will serve the same purpose.

Police should investigate this issue!!!
