Nurse sues for sexual harassment

It allegedly started with a request for her mobile phone number, then progressed to invitations for dates before it became openly sexual.

All these despite her insistence that she was not interested.

The allegations against a director of a public-listed company has now gone to court.

Ms Mardiana Sarifudin, a dental nurse who works at a subsidiary of Pacific Healthcare Holdings, has filed a suit against Mr Kwan Benny Ahadi, 50, for sexual harassment.

In a media statement released yesterday, Mr Kwan rejected all allegations of sexual harassment made against him.

He said: “I categorically reject the allegations; it is a spurious case which I am determined to defend."
