One mother's joy, another's sorrow

Two mothers were dealt with some bad news after the horrific three-vehicle crash at the junction of Rochor Road and Victoria Street yesterday morning.

A Ferrari collided with a cab which then hit a motorcycle.

The driver of the Ferrari and the cab passenger died.

But while one mother is relieved that her 26-year-old son survived the accident, the other is in grief after finding out that her 31-year-old son has died.

Mr Muhammad Najib Ghazali, the motorcyclist, survived, while Mr Ma Chi, a Chinese national who was driving a red Ferrari, died at the scene. The taxi’s woman passenger died later.
