All eyes are on Hougang now that a by-election is possible.

The chairman of the incumbent Workers' Party, Ms Sylvia Lim, said Hougang will be served by the party's other Members of Parliament until a by-election is called.

While no date has been set, some opposition parties are mulling the possibility of a multi-cornered fight.

The Reform Party and the National Solidarity Party said their respective parties will meet to discuss the matter soon.

Others, like the Singapore Democratic Party, say their primary concern is that Hougang remains in the hands of the opposition.

WP- Recruit Nicole Seah!  PAP - Bring back George Yeo!  Let it be GY vs NS!

Better still ... no by-election ... a win-win for both PAP and Opposition.
Not to mention, no by election means tons of tax payers money saved in the process.
