The Olympic-bound paddlers will be entering the last phase of training at the Surrey Sports Park on Monday, after a two-day break to allow them to recover from jet lag.

Feng Tianwei, Wang Yuegu, Li Jiawei, Gao Ning, Yang Zi and Zhan Jian had been holed up at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall for the past month for intensive training, but will now simulate the actual competitive environment this week with mini-competitions with a team from an undisclosed country.

Also in Surrey for final preparations are swimmers Joseph Schooling, Tao Li, Mylene Ong, Quah Zheng Wen and Lynette Lim. Team officials there said the athletes are all healthy and injury-free, with no major concerns other than the cooler weather.

The Republic's badminton team - Derek Wong, Gu Juan, Shinta Mulia Sari and Yao Lei will depart for Surrey on Monday night.
