Passing the flag to nation's future

Taking part in this year’s National Day Parade has helped this father and son bond.

Major (NS) Ang Lin Piao, 45, and his son, Delvin, 16, are part of the parade’s Majulah Moment segment. It symbolises one generation passing on to the next the responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of our country.

Maj (NS) Ang, a national serviceman with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, will be among a contingent of NSmen who will hand the state flag to a group of full-time national servicemen and students from uniformed groups.

Delvin, a Secondary 4 pupil from Changkat Changi Secondary School, will be among the group receiving the flag. He is representing his school’s National Cadet Corps (Air).
