It took the 13 judges of this year's Miss Singapore World beauty pageant one-and-a-half hours to name their winner on Wednesday.
And their pick surprised the audience - newly-crowned Karisa Sukamto stands at just 1.6m tall.
The hot favourite of the night was 1.71m-tall student Michelle Koh; Sarah Noble and Jaime Lim, both 1.72m tall, were also popular.
Rounding out the top five was lawyer Bridgete Campbell, who stood at 1.67m.
But the judges, who were split 50-50 between Michelle and Sukamto, picked the latter. And it was all down to her charm and personality.
What do Singaporeans think?
