Poh Lee Guan expelled from Workers' Party

 
Dr Poh Lee Guan has been sacked by the Workers' Party.

In a letter to Dr Poh, WP secretary- general Low Thia Khiang informed him of the party’s central executive council (CEC) decision.

The CEC met with Dr Poh on July 10, during which, Dr Poh was asked to explain his actions during the Hougang by-elections.

He had nominated himself as a “backup candidate” without the party's knowledge. 

Dr Poh joined the party in 2001and was once a senior cadre of WP.
