Power grid for Pulau Ubin

Generators are the source of electricity for all of Pulau Ubin's residents and businesses.

The Energy Market Authority has announced the construction of a power grid within next year.

The construction is a part of a "micro-grid" test bed project which will supply electricity via renewable energy resources.

Yet, the micro-grid will be implemented only at Ubin’s jetty area, where the bulk of the islands' bicycle rental kiosks, and food and beverage shops are.
