Presidential broadcasts: Day One

Presidential candidates shared their plans in their first TV broadcast last night.

Dr Tan Cheng Bock asked Singaporeans to trust him to safeguard the nation's reserves without fear or favour while Mr Tan Jee Say declared that he would serve as the people's voice and as the heart of the nation.

Dr Tony Tan insisted that his heart was in the right place with his three decades of service in Singapore as Mr Tan Kin Lian said he empathised with Singaporeans and will provide a platform to voice those feelings.
