The four presidential candidates continued campaigning over the weekend.

Stressing again on the need for multi-racialism, Dr Tan Cheng Bock opened an Indian restaurant in Little India yesterday, and also returned to his stronghold of Ayer Rajah, where he was MP for 26 years.

While out campaigning yesterday, Dr Tony Tan addressed a recent hot button topic amongst the presidential candidates - that of advising the Government on economic policies, while Mr Tan Jee Say got a boost from his former Singapore Democratic Party colleague Ang Yong Guan while out for a jog at East Coast Park.

Mr Tan Jee Say also spoke at a gathering yesterday at the Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan – an umbrella group with over 5,000 members – on Beach Road.
