Pupil's police report did not stop terrible tutor

A police report of an alleged molest offence against tutor Loh Hua Long did not stop him from continuing to teach at a tuition centre in September 2009.
Worse, Loh, who is now 51, continued his sexual abuse of young boys at the tuition centre, which he has been entrusted to operate for close to 20 years by the Residents' Committee.
Loh was arrested on Nov 9 that year, after a third report was made against him alleging molest.
Yesterday, Loh, who is single, was sentenced to 15 years' jail for the five charges of sexual abuse that he faced.
A total of 29 other charges were taken into consideration during sentencing.
