One week after he returned to work, a client suddenly asked him: "So, you feeling better?"

That simple act of concern touched Mr Lin Dilun (above, with his mum Madam Serene Neo), 27, an events consultant who had donated one of his kidneys to a stranger, little Bryan Liu.

Bryan, now 6, was surviving on 10 hours of dialysis and a cocktail of drugs every day, on top of frequent growth hormone injections. But after the operation he has been leading a fuller life

Mr Lin said friends and relatives have quizzed if he feels lighter without one kidney. He entertains their questions, and says he feels the same, but doesn't want the attention.

He prefers that people remember his deed, not him.
