THE LAD who went to watch Liverpool train in mufc top with my name on the back is a legend.

That's what Wayne Rooney tweeted about a Malaysian Manchester United fan who turned up at a Liverpool training session in Kuala Lumpur.

The man was made to remove his Red Devils shirt with the striker's name by fans of the team from Merseyside before being led away in an incident that was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube (click to view the video below).

However, United star Rooney, who used to play for Liverpool's local rivals Everton, gave the fan his endorsement over social media website Twitter.
