Scaffolding at Shenton Way carpark worksite gives way

Bangladeshi construction worker Awal Nazrulislam, 29, happened to look up amid the construction din, when he saw scaffolding collapsing before his eyes.

“I was so scared when I saw it fall, and immediately went to inform my foreman,” he said.

He was outside the main construction site of V on Shenton when the drama unfolded at about 4.40pm yesterday.

Soon after, his foreman ran out to ask him to help an injured Malaysian man, who was moaning in pain.
