SHE WAS earning a comfortable $5,000 a month as a financial advisor.
But watching the doctors and nurses in action during the SARS outbreak led Ms Lybia Bng to take the leap of faith to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse - despite already being in her 30s at the time.
To achieve that, she had to first enroll in ITE. Now at 38, Ms Bng is valedictorian of a nursing graduate cohort at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
