Singapore, along with Malaysia, now move up to World Cricket League Division 4, after the Republic trounced arch-rivals from across the causeway.

Singapore restricted Malaysia, who elected to bat first, to 159 all out in 47 overs.

The hosts, then, raced past to score 164 for one in only 26.4 overs, the only wicket to fall was that of Chetan Suryawanshi (23), dismissed at total 46.
