IN THE heat of the day, the Young Lions lost their cool and their heads as well.

A clash between centre-backs Safuwan Baharudin and Shahir Hamzah led to a goal within 45 seconds, while forward Neil Vanu was given the marching orders 22 minutes later in the scorching afternoon heat at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

The tempers continued to rise in the post-match media conference, with Singapore coach Slobodan Pavkovic blaming his players for ruining his strategy.
