S'pore couple buried in solemn ceremony

The couple who died in a car crash in New Zealand last Friday while on their honeymoon were buried in a solemn ceremony on Tuesday (June 19).

Mr Mohamed Najibullah Mohamad Suhaimi, 26, a lieutenant with the Singapore Armed Forces, was given a military funeral at the Muslim cemetery at Choa Chu Kang. His newly-wed wife, Ms Raihana Mohamad Rashid, 25, a staff nurse with KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, was buried beside him soon after.

At least 300 family members, relatives, friends and colleagues were at the funeral.
