Singaporeans are known for their prowess in Math.

But these boys from Juying Secondary have put us on the map for something else - hip hop.

These five teens, better known as Freshest Nutz Crew, came in sixth in the World Hip Hop Championships held in Las Vegas on 31 Jul.

They beat over 50 teams from all over the world.

Said team member Muhammad Saiful, 14: "Really the other teams were very good. But we gave our best and are happy with the result."

A team from New Zealand came in tops, followed by another from Japan and then USA.

It took a lot of hard work for the boys to make it to the top ten.

Said Muhd Saiful: "It started as just a casual CCA and then we started training for the competition. We spent five hours a day dancing and perfecting our moves.

"It was worth it."
