S'poreans most well-travelled in Asia-Pac

Singaporeans are a well-travelled bunch.

In the latest survey conducted by MasterCard on Consumer Purchasing Priorities, 85 per cent of Singaporeans  said they made at least one leisure trip last year.

Of the 605 respondents in Singapore surveyed, 23 per cent said they made more than three international leisure trips in the past 12 months.

The survey wasconducted from March to April 2011 and involved 17,620 consumers from 14 countries in Asia.

Following closely behind Singapore is Hong Kong, with 84 per cent of respondents who said that they made at least one leisure trip per year.

South Koreans Taiwanese and Australians also have a penchant for travelling with more than 50 per cent of respondents in each country having made one leisure trip in the past year.
