Steven Gerrard scores third child

Stevie G has nailed it once again.

His wife, Alex, revealed that the couple are expecting their third child. The model-mother, 28, already has two daughters, Lilly-Ella, 7, and Lexie, 5, with the Liverpool captain.

She explained that she only realised she was expecting after her gym trainer pointed out that her breasts were bigger than usual. This prompted the 28-year-old to take a pregnancy test.

"I phoned Steven immediately, who was in pure shock.... It wasn't planned, we were quite happy as we were, the kids are quite independent now so it was nice doing my own thing," said Alex. "But me and Steven are over the moon."

Alex, who married the England star in 2007, said the pregnancy has brought the couple closer together. Upon hearing the news, Gerrard, 31, brought his wife to Dubai and got her "a very nice present".

The 28-year-old, who is almost four months pregnant, said they would not find out the sex of the child, but added: "It'd be nice to have a boy but we're not bothered."

The Liverpool captain is set to miss the last match of the season after sustaining a training injury in April. His teammates are fighting to qualify for Europe next season, but fate remains out of their hands as Tottenham remain one point ahead with only one game to play for both teams.
