Stiff fight for Primary 1 slot in prime schools

SOME have said that it is 'worse than lottery'.

Yet, some parents will do whatever it do whatever it takes to give their children a better chance of landing a spot at their primary school of choice during the Primary 1 registration exercises - even if it means spending millions of dollars on property or downgrading to a smaller home.

While some succeed, others lose out - and even celebrities like Zoe Tay can't seem to win despite doing 80 hours of volunteer work at Nanyang Primary School with her husband.
