The New Paper yesterday (July 25) reported on a sex-for-grades investigation, allegedly involving a law professor and his student.
He is accused of upgrading a fourth-year female student’s grades in exchange for sex. He was arrested in April and is now out on bail.
The case has got the legal fraternity, academics and students talking, with many speculating over the identities of the parties involved.
But academics The New Paper spoke to say that these cases are not common, and that staff and students from tertiary institutions have codes of conduct to adhere to.
