THE power of 100 words should not be underestimated.

Miss NurSyafinah Johaiden, 19, wrote a nomination describing how special her form teacher Ms Elaine Tan is, and submitted it to The New Paper on Sunday's Treat My Teacher contest.

Her entry won Ms Tan (above), 36, who teaches the Higher Nitec course at ITE College West, a head-to-toe professional makeover, a gift box from Zalora worth $135 and a ride to school in a Ferrari, courtesy of Top Gear Rentals.

After her make-up and hair cut was done, Ms Tan was dressed by a stylist before she was chauffeured to school in a flashy red Ferrari.

Although it was a school holiday, 50 students and teachers gathered at the school to receive her.
