She did well all through school, attended Raffles Junior College, graduated from university with a second class (upper) honours degree and is now a promising young lawyer with Harry Elias Partnership.
But Miss Vikneswari Muthiah, 25, keeps her best compliments for her primary school, Bukit View Primary School, which she says she is "proud to have come from", even though it is a neighbourhood school.
It is where she learnt all the values she needed to be where she is today and she said she would send her children to a neighbourhood primary school "because of the type of education they will receive".
