Tables full but no guests

AT FIRST glance, it looked like a grand dinner, with 88 tables being served with a six-course dinner complete with entertainment.

However, the seats were all empty.

And once the dinner had ended at 9pm, all the food was disposed off.

The "dinner" was a "ghost banquet" organised by the owners of Zhilie Trading, which sells Chinese ceremonial products, as part of the Hungry Ghost festival for lost and pitiful souls.
