Teacher threw SD cards, laptop to cover up hiding secret cameras in girls' toilet

He was a respected teacher in his school for 10 years. But Bertrand Ngien Wen-Tseah, 37, was a peeping Tom.

In the mornings, he would leave pin-hole cameras carefully hidden in a girls’ toilet, which was also used by staff, and collect them at the end of the day.

But when his cameras were discovered and confiscated by another staff member, Ngien decided to hide his crime.

He waited till no one was in the room where the cameras were, then removed the SD cards.

When he knew the school had caught on that he was responsible, Ngien threw away the cards, as well as a laptop that he used to view his dirty videos.

Ngien pleaded guilty yesterday to three charges, including insulting the modesty of a woman, for offences committed on Feb 15.
