Manchester United experienced a slump after legendary manager Sir Matt Busby resigned in 1969.
But United legend Denis Irwin does not believe the Red Devils' dominance will decline even after Sir Alex Ferguson, another legendary manager, eventually retires.
The former left-back (above, left) said the 19-time champions are "stable" enough to survive the transition, although he concedes that would be a "big moment" for the club.
Irwin is in Singapore as part of the defending champions' trophy tour and attended several events on Friday.
